The New Balance 1340 is an optimal control trainer designed with Stabilicore and T-Beam for maximum stability and N2 for the ultimate cushioning with the right level of support combined with a comfortable feel.
"I have purchased 3 pairs of this 1340 style within the last two years. The first for pure comfort and pronation support (lasted a year); the second in a larger size for use with orthotics, and now the third for use without orthotics. These are the only shoes that New Balance makes that have good pronation support and are not stiff along the center sole (which causes me more pain!) Please do not change this design!"
Yes, I recommend this product.

"I just recently purchased my second pair of 1340s to have as a back-up pair just in case they quit making them. I am still wearing my first pair that I have owned for about 6 months. I wear a 9 1/2 D and these were very true to size for me. I am an orthodontic assistant and am on my feet most of the day and these shoes might just be the best pair of work shoes I have ever owned. I need to wear a hard insert in my shoes and these are deep enough that my heel does not flip out the back, and my foot does not roll off the sides. My legs and feet are way less achy at the end of the day since wearing these shoes. They are mostly mesh in the front and my feet do get cold if it is a cold day because the wind goes right through them, but I wear them anyway, as long as there is no snow or ice. I do wish they were available in another color so that I am not wearing what looks like the same pair of shoes forever, but even if they stay the same, I will purchase them again, if they are still available."
