Inspired by the legendary Leadville 100 race and built for the ultra-runner, the New Balance Leadville 1210 uses N2 cushioning, a REVlite® midsole and a rugged Vibram® outsole to keep runners comfortable while they test their limits. Almost completely void of excess materials, seams, and bulk, the 1210 was designed from the inside-out to prevent skin irritations. With your feet in these shoes, they’ll surely be happy trails.
"I bought these to replace my old Mizuno Wave Ascend as I decided I needed more stability. I hesitated to purchase these as they seemed to be a way too technical shoe for ultra marathons and I am more of a casual runner. I was completely impressed with these shoes. The first thing you will notice is there is tons of room in the toe box which was intentional to allow for swelling. I was concerned but they don't feel sloppy at all. My other main concern is I often find considerable heel slippage in NB products but I din't notice this at all. Overall, one of the most comfortable runners I've ever worn, and surprisingly lightweight. So far I haven't gone for a long distance run, only intervals, but so far exactly what I wanted."
Yes, I recommend this product.

"Pros: Managed to race just over 500km in these before the grip finally smoothed out. All on mountain ultras, much of it technical with sharp rock. Comfortable - wore throughout 200km Swiss Irontrail. Good sharp-rock protection. Light (for a non-minimalist shoe) with good stability on uneven ground. Cons: Seemed a bit slippery on wet rock in the Alps - but, can this even be improved without sacrificing the long-life soles (Save the Planet!). This mid-packer will definitely buy again. Please continue this series."
