Much is made of what goes into shoes, but with genuine innovation and inspiration the New Balance 3090 is made truly great with what has been taken away. Inspired by the geometries of a molecule, the 3090 with Ionix technology removes some material from the midsole to create a lightweight everyday running shoe with a plush, underfoot feel with enhanced flexibility and comfort. Weighing in under 7 ounces, this shoe looks and feels so great that you may just extend your daily run by a few blocks—or by several miles!
"These shoes are ultra light, ultra comfortable. I have run the tread off my first pair. The cosmetic shell tear quickly but it doesn't affect the performance of the shoe. I have put hundreds of miles on them. I tried the NBGruv and the Ionix V2 and am extremely unhappy with both. I just reordered another pair of the 3090's."
Yes, I recommend this product.

"I want to start with that I really do enjoy these shoes. They're very comfortable for a minimalist product and their sizing is perfect for my feet. The only reason I give this shoe 4 stars is because, like some other customers, I have had a small issue with the construction. The mesh part of the shoe's upper has frayed and developed some holes in areas where there's a lot of bending and friction. Particularly on the sides of the toe box where the shoe bends along with the ball of my foot. It's purely cosmetic, but I do expect my shoes to hold up better to everyday use. I personally have not had an issue with the soles coming apart, but I can see how it may be an issue given how it is constructed. Again, I must stress that the shoes themselves are quite comfortable and that more than makes up for some minor design oversights in my book. I would buy these shoes again, however, now that the 3090v2 is out I may just spring for those."
