The New Balance 1290 running shoe was designed in Boston and made in Maine, which is, coincidentally, about how far you feel you can run in this lightweight performer before you even notice it's on your feet. Part of our Made in the USA Collection, its REVlite® midsole foam, ABZORB® insert for cushioning and blown rubber outsole make this a shoe that takes you along for the ride.
"I have had this shoe for for about 4 months, and have run about 20 miles in them and they are great for road running, however I mostly use them to lift weights and do sprint workouts in them and within the first month I had them, the outsole started to separate from the shoe. It could use some additional engineering to the front of the shoe to withstand higher friction forces from cutting and sprinting on the ball of the foot."
Yes, I recommend this product.

"I bought these shoos back in June 2013 and by November they were worn out. My first real disappointment with New Balance normally when I buy the models made or assembled in the US they outlast any of the imported brands I bought over the years which normally lasts me 2 plus years. These lasted as long as a cheap imported pair.Hope they upgrade these shoos and improve their quality. Overall I been happy with NB's US line as I said earlier but even good companies have their lemons."
